Talking Shop launches!

The first of our new members-only monthly informal get-togethers to ‘talk shop’ brought much enthusiasm and encouragement!

Then in February, eight people attended, a mix of specifiers, builders, a sculptor, a buildings archaeologist specialist and materials producers.

There was a focus on options for build-up of earthen floors.

Other topics included the merits of linseed oil as a finish to clay plaster and chalk cob construction and conservation.

Each month we'll be chatting about earth-building related topics, so bring your ideas to the meeting. They're every second Wednesday of the month.

You can join us at 7pm GMT for one hour or more on:

Wednesday 8 March 2023

Wednesday 12 April 2023

Wednesday 10 May 2023

Wednesday 14 June 2023

The discussion leaders, EBUKI executives, will change each month and the topics will vary, flowing where the participants want to take the discussions. If you'd like to present a project you are working on, do let us know.

We cannot give specific free professional advice at the “Talking Shop”, but you may meet someone you can connect with separately.

You will need a Zoom link, so please contact Sally to register your free place, at sally@ebuki.co.

Places are limited so if you book and then cannot attend, please notify Sally so she can offer your place to members on the waiting list. (You must be a member to take part and Sally can help you with that too!)

We're looking forward to seeing you soon and being involved in some really engaging conversations!
