Data Protection and Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data is collected by EBUKI through our charitable activities and how and why we use this data.
When interacting with us online, face-to-face or over telephone, Earth Building UK & Ireland may collect your personal data and are responsible for how we store and use it. If you are in contact with us we may collect personal data about you and other people connected to your organisation. We may do this through conversations, at events, in online forms or during visits to your organisation.
Personal Data is any information that relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Personal Data which we collect includes your name, email address, address, telephone number, date of birth or photograph.
We will keep personal data up to date and store it securely.
In order to conduct its normal business, EBUKI collects and uses certain types of personal information about living individuals. These include current, past and prospective members, information and newsletter receivers, course, workshop, conference and programme participants and attendees, trainees, members, staff, officers, trustees, volunteers, representatives, suppliers, clients, customers, and others with whom it has business, or with whom it communicates.
EBUKI considers the lawful and correct treatment of such personal information as essential to the efficient and successful conduct of its business. It also recognises that it is crucial to fostering and maintaining the confidence of its main stakeholders and the wider public in EBUKI and its operations.
This policy applies to all personal data processed or controlled by EBUKI regardless of the location of where the data is held, the ownership of the equipment used, who created the data, and the data subject.
This policy benefits EBUKI, the purpose being to to set out the principles of data protection that is followed in the organisation’s work and to provide a managed framework for fulfilling its business needs, accountability and legal responsibilities.
EBUKI recognises that the lawful and correct treatment of personal information is fundamental to the achievement of its objectives. EBUKI therefore strives to ensure that theorganisation treats personal information lawfully and correctly and that there are safeguards to ensure this in data protection law.
This policy outlines the steps EBUKI will make to ensure the safety and security of such data handling and storage. This policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of EBUKI in achieving such objectives.
EBUKI will ensure that decisions made will allow children and young people to make their own choices and include them in any decision making (where appropriate, e.g. age, understanding and ability to make decisions). EBUKI will also ensure that safe and effective working practices are in place.
